It may be helpful to check your MX records to ensure they are still pointed correctly to your mail server, also your mail logs may provide some additional clues such as an error message or authentication failure.

Hello, ensure you are uploading the image using File Manager or FTP. You can then embed the image using HTML code, for more information see our full guide on inserting images using HTML.

I have the same problem with outlook.com. First it was working, then it just quit. Still have it working on a phone with KaiOs 3.0, but none of my 2.5.4 versions. What gives. went into outlook, turned on permission to sync, tried three different inputs into the settings manually, whereas before it quit working it must have automatically done the settings, but now I can’t get any number of setttings, setting the smtp, the imap, or switching to pop.

Hi kdimediaxKyle, I’m sorry you’re in this situation: dealing with bot related brute force attacks is never easy, and if you’ve already set up and started using CloudFlare, only to find yourself still running into running into this problem, I would recommend that you immediately set up an IP Address block with both .htaccess and the IP Deny Manager. With this, you will only be able to login from your IP address.

The article I posted above is how to deny access to your entire webpage — which may be beneficial to do for a short time (an hour or two) while you resolve the issue more in depth and let bot traffic die down. After, you can remove the site-wide IP block and replace it with one specifically protecting your WordPress login page. It looks like the formatting of that article needs a bit of fixing, so I’m going to go ahead and do that so the code is readable. Remember, if you changed the URL of your login page you’ll need to adjust the code accordingly.

I know this sort of thing can be a bit of a nuisance if you use a VPN or work from multiple locations, but it’s the most reliable way to eliminate this issue when you’re in the middle of dealing with a lot of bot traffic. Hope that helps!

Hi Pixel, looking at the official Softaculous documentation on packages, it looks like they provide a reference copy of an info.xml file. Were you using one formatted a similar way? Hope that helps!

Hi Lorenze, I’m sorry that you’re having trouble logging in. Which login link are you having trouble with? Are you able to reach the cPanel login page, and having trouble from there, or is the page itself unavailable?

Comment on DNS and Nameserver Changes by Ronnie https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/cpanel/dns-and-nameserver-changes/#comment-67682 Tue, 12 Jul 2022 02:17:43 +0000 https://support-staging.cloud.imhwebdev.net/support/?p=49209#comment-67682 In reply to John Duthie.

Hi John, great question. Your overall plan is correct: you should be able to point your DNS from your current site to the InMotion Hosting nameservers and, after somewhere between two and twenty-four hours for propagation time, all traffic and mail to your domain will be directed to your InMotion Hosting website. Please don’t forget to make any equivalent emails on your InMotion Hosting account for any existing emails tied to your domain to make sure that mail isn’t lost.

The only issue I want to make you aware of is that, sometimes, updating your domain information (such as where your domain is pointing) can block the transfer of your domain for two weeks or so, depending on your registrar. So, if you update the domain to point to our nameservers, you may have to wait a couple of weeks before transferring domain registration to InMotion Hosting.

On the other hand, once you set your domain to transfer to InMotion Hosting, you will likely be unable to point it to different nameservers until the transfer is complete.

Now, this shouldn’t be an issue, but if you have less than a month before your domain registration expires at your current registrar, you will have to decide what you want to prioritize. You don’t want to end up losing your domain registration by requesting a transfer so close to its renewal date that it may expire. That said as long as you aren’t under a time crunch it shouldn’t be an issue, and if you’re worried about the date of renewal being close to transfer you can always reach out to our Customer Service Billing team for guidance. Hope that helps!

And you’re already on cloudflare? And you already have ithemes security blocking brute force attacks?
