After two years of virtual WordCamps, WordCamp US (WCUS) will be live and in-person this year! Events like WordCamp are a great way to build skills and connect with people who truly understand the WordPress projects and problems you’re working on every day. We know that conference travel costs can hinder people from attending events like WordCamp. So we’re excited to announce our 2022 WCUS Travel Scholarship Program, designed to help you join us in San Diego this year!
Travel Scholarship Program Details
What We’re Offering
We have three travel scholarships that provide $1,500 toward the costs of attending WordCamp US 2022, this September 9-11 in San Diego, California. You can use these funds to best fit your needs, including but not restricted to: lodging, meals, airfare and transit, or any other travel costs.
When Applications are Open
Our applications are open now through June 10, 2022 11:59 PM EDT. We’ll notify winners of the travel scholarships by June 14, 2022.
You Should Apply If You
- Are passionate about WordPress
- Need financial support to attend WordCamp US
- Have never attended a WordCamp US event
- Would like to network with the WordPress community

What Happens After You Apply
InMotion Hosting will review all applications, and the selected winners will hear back from us by June 14, 2022. Travel funds will be paid out via PayPal.
Event Details
WordCamp US 2022 will take place on September 9-11 at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego. Located conveniently close to the San Diego International Airport, beach, and downtown area, this venue will charm you with its retro style and incredible history. However, if you would prefer to stay at a different hotel, there are plenty of other options available in the area with public transportation to the venue.
COVID-19 Guidelines
WordCamp US (WCUS) will follow COVID-19 Guidelines for San Diego, California. Hand sanitizer and masks will be available for attendees, and certain activities like lunch will take place outdoors.
WCUS set the following requirements for the in-person event:
- All attendees are required to be vaccinated or have recently tested negative for Covid-19.
- Due to the size and nature of this event, masks will be required to be worn over both the mouth and nose while indoors.
