Reasons for the “There was an error in your request” Error

In most cases, this error results from port blocking. If searching for domain availability in WHMCS, you may see this error if your host is blocking port 43. You may request that your host open this port; but, in shared hosting, it is unlikely they will assist in port openings or closures (for security purposes).
