I recommend trying one of the other methods for updating your site URL such as the wp-config file or database.

If your problems persist our WordPress Troubleshooting guide can help narrow the cause down further.
Thank you,

Yes, that is normal based on the hosting plan you have, or if you purchased an SSL.

Thank you,

Typically you can use your domain as the hostname. But you can view your server’s hostname in AMP, in the Account Technical Details section.

Thank you,

$host=”……..”;

$user=”myUsername”;

$password=”myPass”;

$db=”myDB”;

$con=mysqli_connect($host,$user,$password,$db);

Previously the hostname was written clearly. Now I am using cPanel and can’t figure out what value should be givn to $host variable.

I suggest using a Host File modification to test your WordPress site.

Otherwise, you will have to change the actual Site URL to your shared ip with a /~username at the end. For example:
123.456.789/~user99

Thank you,
John-Paul

I don’t want to change the bameservers until I have migrated WordPress.

Yes, you can use your IP address and add /cpanel at the end. For example: 123.123.123.123/cpanel
